that funky little electrical item is a new IVR chuzie and i started making...for the gauge cluster. the new ones are $30-40 each, we can make these for less than $10 and way better
IVR? I am guessing what Inline Voltage Regulator? What is the purpose and or where do you use them? I have an inquiring mind and I want to know.

Mike and Jess have a super nice Bronco. Sweeeeeeet.....
Instrument voltage regulator Dwight, all broncos use 6v gauges from the early '60 era. It's converts 12v to 6v

Thanks Chuck. I learned something else from you. Very neat that You guys figured a way to make it yourself. I used to be intelligent that way. Seems I have lost a lot of my thought processes over the years.
Nice looking rig!

Ok, now you have peaked my interest. Details on that voltage reg please!!
Save your notes from the disc install. Thinking about going ahead and biting the bullet before November.
The IVR is solid state and has a reliable output of 5.98v. You need 2 capacitors, 1 voltage regulator, a heat sink, and some heat sink compound.

Here are the parts I ordered from mouser.com

Heat sink

Regulator

Heat sink compound came from amazon.com

I am searching for a set of those style hub caps. I remember them on a old 66 Galaxie my daddy had and have always liked the look.
