So, I'm a long term lurker, and now, a bronco owner. Figured I'd introduce myself as well as my project.

Me... Grew up as a military brat, moved a dozen of times, finally ended up in Swansboro, NC. Went to college at UNCW, moved to Charlotte, NC for work. Been in CLT for the past 9 years. I have owned ford trucks in the past, never owned a bronco till now. Very excited to say the least.

Truck... 1977 Bronco. Preferred finding a fiberglass body, so I randomly met a guy who was selling 2 Terra Comp bodies and 1 kentrol body. Scheduled time to go meet him. Pull up to a very nice house and a 40x100 shop. Met the guy with the broncos and got a tour of his shop, personal bronco, and all the parts/bodies he has. About 15 minutes into the conversation, I realize he was related to a nascar driver. Come to find out this guy has built, bought, and sold countless broncos over the year. He had quite the collection of broncos and parts and was really kind of in shock over it all. So after a week or so of negotiations and etc, I bought one from him. Can't say enough nice things about the seller. Fantastic guy, wealth of knowledge. Specs are as follows:

Body: New TerraComp tub and hood. New metal fenders, front clip, grill, windshield, and tailgate. '68 doors.

Drivetrain: 302 (needs to be rebuilt), new c4, new transfer. Axles are D44, 4.56, lockers, and completely rebuilt. 4 wheel disk breaks. Steering components made by the PO.

Frame: 3.5 lift, shock hoops, spring rear (no blocks). 2" body lift

Wheels/Tires: NEW 35", Custom aluminum wheels made my JG's dad (1 of 3 sets made).

Interior: Gave me a stock dash, will go custom dash route, Rebuilt seats with new covers (white).

Various: lots of other new parts to complete project.

Plans: Bought this to build with my son. Going to take it nice and slow. Plans for this year will be to finalize the rolling chassis. Next year I'll focus on the engine and possible start body work. Year after, finalize the truck. Any ways, I'm sure I'll have questions as I go through this, so I appreciate your patience, and look forward to the process.

I would post this in the right section but I'm not veteran enough to but I'm looking for a set of fiberglass fenders to match my tub. I'm willing to trade out my new stock metal fenders for them. Please let me know.
