  Crozet, VA - Jan 20, 2008
Posted by: fdezone - 11-23-2007, 08:54 AM - Forum: Wheeling Events - Replies (15)

On Sunday, January 20, 2008, the day after the Mid-Atlantic Early Bronco (MEB) Hooters Get Together in Richmond, VA, the Rockcrawlers for the Preservation of Future Access (RCPFA) will informally host a run for interested MEB members. Crozet is approximately 80 miles west of Richmond, VA. Let's take full advantage of the distances traveled and make this a weekend event. Don't forget, that Monday, January 21st, is a holiday!

Gulches News

Thanksgiving Hours We will be closed on Thursday Thanksgiving day. However we will be open
Friday November 23 at 11:00 am till dark
And then regular hours on Saturday and Sunday

More new Trails Volunteers have cut more new trails this past Saturday. Trail Twenty -seven Mutiny Ridge is a trail that if you don't want to do the ship in Shipwreck you can mutiny to the ridge and run the top little rock garden of Shipwreck. Three-D is a new hill climb by Hill Climb Trail 3 It has been open for two days and no one has made it up to the top. This 3-D is a true triple black. Then we have created two new exits for Trail 23 these are ways to get off of 23 without having to do the off camber original exit.(which is still there)

On a personal note. Lydia and I are excited about the upcoming week as our Son, Ian, is coming home on Saturday the 17th. He lives in Washington DC and is Gulches web designer. I am going to bring him to the park Sunday to show it off. He has really only seen it extremely muddy. So Sunday we will be wheeling the park with all of you, another treat for me as I tend to get stuck in the office.

Up Coming Events We are working on a couple of things for the winter season however it is really tough to predict winter weather for events. We want to put together a swap meet and a new year night ride. (This would most likely not be on new years eve) Gulches Mega 4x4 Challenge III will start sometime the end of February or the first of March. We are planning at this time a series of 4 events. Between series event 2 and 3 we are planning Gulches' First Annual Gulches Mega 4x4 Powder Puff Challenge. This will be an event for women drivers only and we will give bonus points for women teams where the driver and spotter are both females. Classes will be the same.

New rules for the Mega 4x4 challenges will be forth coming and they will affect some folks vehicle class designation These will be available with the dates of the events in December.

New t-shirts and zipper hoody's have been ordered and will be available In a week or two. T's have a new design we hope you will like them. Prices for hoody's will be available later
