the Gulches has had issues, which has brought this up.
You should know Arrowhead Campground is on Federal Property as is Uwharrie. With that being said, they dont not allow alcohol/beer on the trails or camp sites. I ask, if you do bring it...please keep it to yourself! Do not walk around with it! I would hate to find out members representing us(as a group) were fined $75 each for drinking. Even if you do get caught, be thoughful of the other members in not making a scene. If you bring it, please pour it into cups. Bottles make alot of noice when tossed into a trash can. I will probably bring some to have at camp. With that beeing said, I always put it in a cup, and always keep the cooler out of sight.
As for trail riding, I do not care to see alcohol on the trails. This is not the same as going to the local tavern and downing a few to drive home on nice paved streets. These can be serious trails with the right conditions or just lack of experience. Please keep it off the trails. I have seen the law checking trucks in those parking areas. If we find any member intoxicated on the trails...YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE!!
Trash on the trails: Please clean up after yourself! I personally have never seen anyone throwing stuff on the ground, but it's just as easy to pick something up that you feel should be picked up. I've never taken a trash bag with me, but I've come back with many cans before. I also try to collect all my butts(stupid smokers  )-yes, I know I should quit...but...
If any of you have any thoughts on this matter, please address them here.
Thank you,Chuck
