Hey guys, I just registered here and thought I'd introduce myself. I'm in Charlotte, NC. I dearly love the early Bronco's, but my rig current rig is a '90 FSB. I've had it for three years now and I've been slowly building it up from the bone stock state that I bought it in. It's got a freshly built 351W, geared 4.56 with an e-locker in the rear and an Aussie locker up front. 6" lift on 36" TSL's. Home made frame sliders and front & rear bumpers. Warn 8274 winch with plasma line, York on board air, and I'm sure a bunch of other stuff I can't think of right now. The next project it's going to get should be a cage, but with the deteriorating condition of my TTB the D60 SAS project may have to get pushed to the front of the line. Anyway, here are some of the wheeling pics.

Glad to have you, man. That's a good looking rig. I'm from Kings Mountain so we're not that far apart.

yeah the ttb is good until you start to modify it to make it flex then it starts to go down hill from there and most go to a SAS

I've got a love/not love relationship with the trailer right now. I love the size of it, how well my full sized rig fits on it with plenty of room to spare, how well it tows, etc. I hate the fact that the brakes are WAY shot. As in not even worth rebuilding. It's going to grow new axles just as soon as I can locate some 16" 8 lugs wheels and decent tires for it. There is a definite learning curve associated with a goose neck trailer when you've pulled bumper pulls all your life. So far all I've taken out is a parking lot stop sign. All in all still a good buy, but it would have been one heck of a lot better if the brakes had been working as represented.

Yeah, tell me about it. I can't complain though. The TTB has stood up to a pretty good thrashing for three years, and I have no doubt that if I went to the trouble to refurb it the thing would last a good while longer. Thing is, I practically stole a D60 off of eBay a couple months ago and I would feel pretty goofy putting funds into rebuilding the axle that's on the way out anyway. So barring catastrophic TTB failure the D60 is going to be getting my attention for the next few months. My goal is to have the SAS done by the time Uwharrie opens next season, which is very doable. Of course I said the same thing about my engine build this year...don't ask how that turned out. Cry

if you already have the d60 the get it in if i had a d44 out of an eb i would be doing something to try to get it in with my hectic life now

Hey, he said they were good and I had no reason to doubt him. Oh well, lesson learned. As for the wheels, they'll need to be 16" wheels, 8 on 6.5, and I imagine they'll need to be in the 8" width range, because I don't think they make trailer tires super wide. I don't care about back spacing at all. Pretty much anything will do. Since we're going out to Uwharrie this weekend anyway I'm thinking of stopping by Galloway's on the way out there and showing Lester a $100 bill. Surely he'll have a set of stock take off steel wheels with my name on it sitting out there in that huge pile of wheels he has.
