I am currently the IT Manager for the Richard Petty Driving Experience based out of Concord, NC. I have been in the IT industry for 13+ years. I love working at RPDE I have been there for almost 7 years now. It's a great company. I really enjoy the IT industry, however what I really want to do is become a luthier. I want to build guitars/Ukuleles. I am going to start learning in the next year or so. That way by the time I am ready to retire I am really good.
I have always wanted to do the Richard Petty Experience. Can you hook a group of us up?Also, my business partner and his son have started making guitars and mandolines. They bought a CNC machine last year for that very purpose. Pretty cool stuff

If you can get a group of 10 together I can probably get a corporate discount for you guys. I will eventually get a CNC machine. I want to learn to do it by hand first. If I start selling them quick enough I will get one. At that point I don't think the garage will be the best place to build them.

At a minimum I can get a 5% discount if the count gets to 10 I am pretty sure I can get the corporate guys to do better than that. Probably 10-15%. Would everyone one want to come into Charlotte to do it? Let me know and once we have a good enough group I will go get some specifics from the guys down the hall and let you know. Just as an FYI typically for a Ride-a-Long it is $109 and for a Rookie (8 Laps) it is $425. Let me know what you would like to do and I will see what I can get done.
