Makes me wanna have an AOD but the 4R70W is so plentiful. I just don't think I need that 4R just to able to change shift points, but I'm sure Chuz will step in a enlighten me.

He works on all automatics so might look him up and call him to see what a 4R would be to rebuild although you probably are gonna start with a good one and just need to program it, might be a source for that unsure.

There are a lot of reasons to do 4r over aod but there are a ton if factors that i don't feel like regurgitating. This conversation recently came up on classic too. Check it out and i will be happy to answer any questions.

Nothing like doing a little parts scrubbing in the kitchen!

Cleaning up my new pistons and machined parts for the 4BT. PolyDyn coated the skirts and tops. Turned out nice. Rods were resized and balanced. Tappets were ground and polished. Crank and cam were polished. Gotta get a bigger sink for those though!

Anyone want to come over and try and explain the answer to "What are all these parts doing in the kitchen?"
