Bend-Tech software - chuzie - 11-03-2008 cool stuff. how long did it take you? Bend-Tech software - bucketobolts - 11-03-2008 I believe it took longer to figure out how to post it up than drawing it up. I took their online tutorial in about 35-45 minutes while watching the football game. Then went out an took some measurement and applied them. I'll post up more when I get a little further along with my cage idea. Bend-Tech software - SC74 - 11-03-2008 What Bend Tech are you using? I think we got the Bend Tech EZ off of Ebay - it was in the $50 range. Yours looks different than ours - you must have the full powered one. Bend-Tech software - snipes243 - 11-03-2008 Cool man been wanting to get a copy of that to mess around with some ideas I have in my head. Yours looks different than ours - you must have the full powered one. I have the Pro version. Was a little pricey, but I believe worth the money in the long run. If I read correctly, I believe 2020 Software offers a pretty reasonable deal on upgrading. I looked at the SE version and liked the compatability with AutoCad. Maybe down the road I can upgrade both. Bend-Tech software - bucketobolts - 11-04-2008 Here is a general idea for the base of my project. The blue parts are the factory rails. Trying to keep the general factory dimensions on the frame. Just removing all the sections that hang or turn down for clearance reasons. I'm making sure to keep the section of rail with the VIN to be authentic. Bend-Tech software - snipes243 - 11-04-2008 Nice man thats pretty cool. Hey When you start bending it up let me know and I will come help. Bend-Tech software - SC74 - 11-05-2008 That looks awesome! Are you going to keep the Bronco skin? What wb are you shooting for? Bend-Tech software - bucketobolts - 11-05-2008 Yes of coarse I'm going to keep the sheet metal. I'm thinking about using Dzus fasteners on the sheet metal making each panel removable for ease of working on late on. Only dislike about them is if you don't use enough or in right places, the panels may rattle. But I may have a fix for that. I plan on moving the axle out to where the factory X members are located. That puts the wheelbase out to 112-114". I may ditch the front stinger altogether. I like the ideal of having a 90* approach anglemokin: |
