so what does it take?? - johnpaulgolf - 06-29-2010 Allright ... I know I have been slack on posting ... but I have kinda did this on purpose ... Just to see what happens or who picks up the slack or whatever ... this site has saved me and many others alot of money and time from all the knowledge we have as a collective group ... mokin: As honest as I can be about the idea JayT has ... I can't barely afford to go wheeling ... so with that being said I won't make a "Bronco" get together that does not involve wheeling ... If we did a "Super Celebration" why not do it at URE they have ALOT to offer for any "non-wheeler" and wheelers and great camping and and and and ... cratchhe: Now I am loving the idea of Robert aka SC74 ... when he gets settled that would be a great "central location" (thanks JayT) to have a birthday party/ get together ... close enough to wheeling and alot of other activities ... As far as the pics from the gulches I could post a link to Wheelindixie or start stealing pics from them ... I don't think Chuck took any pics and I did not take my camera so ... But we had a blast both Broncos kicked ass and had no issues really ... Chuck did have a u-joint thing going on but had a full day wheelin before that caused him to stop wheelin but still rode the trail for the last hour or so ... so what does it take?? - clarkjw24 - 06-29-2010 Chuck I've noticed the same on our site. If yall have something and don't mind my POS coming I'll be glad to join in. so what does it take?? - clarkjw24 - 06-29-2010 I can't offer any bronco tech but I do know how to drink beer.:drinkbud: so what does it take?? - johnpaulgolf - 06-29-2010 clarkjw24 Wrote:Chuck I've noticed the same on our site. I'll be sitting out here just waiting to reply but there's not a lot of post on our site as of lately either. So I'll bring up dead threads in hopes that someone was subscribed and will start replying. When I look at our Who's online I see a lot of guess browsing the tech stuff. I think that's where its at because google and other searches will bring activity to your site. So those of you that have the knowledge, time and pictures do all the tech write ups you can regaurdless of how easy they seem. Nobody searches for "a cool place" to hang out, you know? They've got questions and they need someone to answer them. so what does it take?? - johnpaulgolf - 06-29-2010 clarkjw24 Wrote:Honestly I don't know JP. I will try and do a "tech" write up the next time I have a project ... we do answer alot of tech questions but have not really done alot of tech write ups ... Thanks again for you time and advice ... :notworthy: so what does it take?? - medwards01 - 06-29-2010 Chuck, amen to your comments about the inactivity on this site recently....I thought everyone just had the summer doldrums or something!! This is my favorite site when it comes to posting comments. I really like the sense of comraderie I feel here as well as the quality of the information shared by everyone. I logon at least twice daily and make it a point everyday to vote this as my favorite 4x4 site!! However, I do confess to lurking on "classicbroncos" and "broncofix" when there is nothing much happening here. However, I very seldom post anything on those sites. I found both of them quite a few years ago after buying my EB. However, when we moved back to North Carolina last December I stumbled across this site when I googled "Early Broncos in North Carolina"....I was thrilled to learn there was an established 4x4 club devoted to Broncos in the Carolinas and as a bonus it happened to have a great website. There was no such "animal" when we moved away in 1996. Being a native Carolinian (Darlington, SC) and proud of that heritage, I feel that I owe my support and allegiance to this club and website as long as I am a part of the Bronco community!! I look forward to getting my EB roadworthy and licensed in North Carolina so I can take a more active part with my "money pit" in the club's activities.... BRONCOS ROCK  so what does it take?? - locolizard - 06-30-2010 Is this slowdown typical for summer compared to previous years or unusual? I know Matt usually goes through the forums especially tech on a regular basis looking for anyone needing help, but he usually does this at work when they're slow and they've been steady lately. Of course, when he gets home he's got me to take care of!! I've got all the time in the world but can't help with tech stuff -- though the other day I did advise a wheeling newbie (friend's son) with 35" Super Swampers on a Toyota pick up with no other mods but lift that he'd need to upgrade his independent front end or accept breakage as a daily occurence! Aren't you proud?? so what does it take?? - josephitguy - 06-30-2010 Its just too hot to be outside! :crying: Personally I've been so busy at work and at home and have other interest that keep stealing me away, got my boat running yesterday, have had to do several IT service calls in the afternoons, etc. I think this is just an ebb to the flow. Sounds like we are all here just not that active. Way to got Locolizard! I couldn't work on doovays, decoupage, and that other girly stuff to save my life. I have a few friends that I will go for months without talking to for one reason or another but that does not mean that I care any less, and if they called needing something I would be right on it, same goes here. so what does it take?? - obxbronco - 06-30-2010 i check in everyday, just never nothing to add, i havn't got started on my 70 yet.....stupid:banghead: stupid:banghead: me. If i get that 351m, i may be in business!! And i've been busy with my site. Sorry. |
