I don't even meet these rules! The narrowed one couldn't handle the highways without help of a trailer. The blue one is a grocery getter and hasn't seen over 50 mph in years either.

I lack a number of items on the list. I'll get it done. Anyone on the fence make up your mind right now and you can get it done too. Skip lunches, give up the cigarettes, pick up aluminum cans, scrap all that steel around the house, hell have a bake sale. Lets do this! As far as the trophy goes lets go ahead and give it to Chuzie now. If past experience means anything he will have to overcome adversity and a bunch of obstacles to survive hell week lol.

Not sure if I would be able to do this or not. Sounds fun, and actually my rig is pretty much ready to go except for a few trail spares that I might need.
One thing to consider. Your policy of no trailers except to haul a broke vehicle to a repair facility or off the trail. Unless you have one or two people following with tow rigs and empty trailers the next best option is to have at least one, possibly two that would have road worthy offroad rigs, but would also haul them on road days with a tow rig. That way in the event that someone needs to be trailered due to breakage, etc., they can be loaded up and the Bronco that was trailered can be driven to the next destination.
Another advantage to having a tow rig or two is the ability to share some of the bigger tools and store them on a tow rig. There's no sense having everyone bring every tool they own. Plus it would be nice to have a a good floor jack, some jack stands, possibly some air tools, and a small welder, basically the type of stuff that would fill a Bronco very quickly. Plus, having a lighter vehicle usually means less chance of breakage, so leaving several hundred pounds of tools at the camp locked up in a tow rig would make sense.
I realize that having a person trailer their rig goes outside the "purpose" of the adventure, but for a safety standpoint I don't think it can be overlooked.

For that matter, Nick, a truck with an enclosed trailer driven by someone that rides shotgun during the wheeling is an option. Just need someone to come up with an enclosed trailer for the trip. I mentioned this same thing to Mike last weekend. I'm sure UA runs the same way. They just don't end up in the final edit of the pics.

That comes back to what I said about events like this being like preping for a baja race. You do need pit support, shops willing to let you use there stuff and back up plans so someone doesnt have to bail on the event just cause they blew a drive shaft, ect.

...was looking at $34 line lock solenoids today for some extra e-brake capablity. Also checked out hammer's trailor build on Classic.....which got me on the the Expedition Portal.......there are some neat rigs on there!! Some trail side camping would be cool, too!!

My stock rear on the factory drums is intact and works okay. I was thinking of adding one on the front like on a drag car for redundancy, plus think of the cool burnouts I could do !!
