I can hold brake pedal and flip lever up and it will hold. Alternatively, I can flip lever up and then mash pedal and it will hold. Either way, doesn't matter.

I like the front for multiple reasons:

Calipers are bigger
Sweet burnouts
Easy driveshaft change for rear.

Use craigslists to find a good price or ebay

for google copy this string "mico" "lock" site:craigslist.org

Back when I first built my Pe'pe I had chevy disks up front and drum rear. I put 2 lever loc's into it. I quickly burned up the rears since the drums could be over powered with a high horse power engine. I then went to Lincoln disks. It really du put oesn't matter which axle you put it on. I prefer the front, for many reasons. First if its in 4wd that means all 4 wheels are locked. If winching the front end tends to dig in first. The calipers in the front are bigger so stronger holding power.
Once the brake pressure is up you can flip the lever or you can flip the lever and then build pressure. It doesn't matter. Its a one way valve.

I have seen those before. The price concerned me a bit.

That appears to screw in to lock pressure. That seems slow and could be hard turn off quickly. The lever loc works fast and simple. It costs more but its a proven product.

From the website

"Jamar Park Lok, Temporary Hydraulic Holding Brake, PK1 is a hydraulic line lock which uses the pressure from the brake system to hold your brakes locked. Step on the brake pedal, push the Park-Lok down, let off brake pedal, and it's locked. To release simply press on the brake pedal again and it opens automatically. Designed to hold your buggy stationary, and is great for holding vehicle in place while transporting on the trailer to eliminate pounding on transmission ring & pinion. DOT 3 Compatible!"

Sounds simple enough. Give it a whirl. I would like to hear your opinion.

Anyone have pics of their installation? Seems like a huge PITA running the brake lines into the cabin.
