How about a site store. We could show the items for sale and use the profit on the site. Do away with those #%$#&%&^ sticky notes!!

Good idea! It's already in the works... Hopefully it'll be launched soon!

i think nc4x4 has a pretty cool site. they have open forums, but have member only club forums.

I agree, but I visit here more... Since this is a "Bronco only" club... Personally, I have mixed feelings about starting up "other" threads just to get more activity here.

I agree I'm the only "redneck' we need on this site!!! LOL

I have tried my hardest to keep things interesting and to generate more post and sometimes even stepped on a few toes.

I think the site store will be great.

I think a paid member section would only discourge some from visiting.

I really like the vendor idea lets work on that.

I think our tech section should copy some other tech stuff and add our own experiences.

I don't think we should have other tech stuff not pertaining to Fords or Broncos, we are a BRONCO site.

I think alot of our "members" are loyal to other sites just because thats where they came from and I don't have a problem with that. But on the other hand if we have 400 "members" you would think we could have alot more action on here and alot more votes in a month.

I am here and yall are here and we just need to keep on keeping on, we will grow with a strong base.

Also maybe we (active members) could "donate" some cash for a CB4X4 account base. This will get the operating expense ie: web site, swag ect. out of Chucks pocket

Ditto that! Just a small amount from several people will add up quickly and should help a lot.

I think the store is a good idea but we need $$$ to get it going. Starting in the red is not a good idea unless someone is willing to take that risk. Let's get in the black first.

Charging to use the site may be discouraging membership/ participation. Donations are the best bet but we have to make sure nothing is eating Chuck's wallet so yes, us members have to agree to get him out of the red ourselves. We need the numbers to figure out how to do it. That can be done in a members only forum. Lets give everyone the same access on the site except for a single members only forum which will deal with club administrative type issues that are not necessarily pertinent to the public at large. The paid members can still be identified with the labels but otherwise will the be same.

A car show is limited to Broncos and we are a pretty small community so I don't see the $$$ there. How about sponsoring a charity event and selling CB swag to raise money and the entry fees and the like can be donated to the agreed charity, less costs (which include this site).

Tech is important. I love Classic's tech section. I do not recommend plagiarizing nor linking out to another site's tech section since it would look bad and divert people to another site. I wish I had more time to write about the stuff I do.

That is all I have for now. My internet connection has been intermittent over the past few days so my time is limited right now until it gets fixed.

I was thinking about a car show open to all makes and models - just sponsored by CB. Maybe hold it at a local Ford dealership with their permission and participation and try to get a local radio station to pick it up to get the word out. It would be mostly Fords there, but then again I've put the Bronco in a show at a Chevy dealership before :rebel:

:xyxthumbs: I don't know what a lot of you guys look like in person. Why not start a thread for pics of ourselves and/or our families. It might stir a little interest and get folks started looking to see what we're up to,c'monConfusedcratchhe:
