Carolina Broncos 6th Annual NOVRUN@URE - chuzie - 11-14-2011 I had a great time this year. We hit EVERY trail which, if I am not mistaken, is a first. I sustained some damage in the process of testing the limits of my new tires and gears and some stupidity. Friday, on Kodak, I took some driver's rear quarter panel damage and lost my marker lens. I also had an electrical issue because my main distribution line was not crimped very well at the terminal and came loose, so everything went dead and it took us about 30 minutes to track down the problem (FWIW- my rat's nest had nothing to do with it). That night I had a tree go all the way down the driver's rear quarter on ****ie Bell and, while on Dainel, I smacked a tree head on at the passenger front corner because I was not paying attention. The next day I hit Kodak again and got bound up at a high angle for too long which caused my fuel pickup to go dry and my engine died after the fuel in the accumulator was consumed so I had to use the winch (Had over 10 gal in there so no, my tank was not empty folks). Following that, I bent my rear bumper on ****ie Bell screwing around on some rock. On Sunday, while doing trail cleanup on Daniel I once again was off on another planet and smacked a big rock with the driver's tire going pretty fast. It jolted us hard, ripped the wheel out of my hand and may have potentially damaged the Scout steering box. I walked away with bloody knuckles, but I think I will have no choice but to go ahead and install the 4x4x2 box. No major damage, but I do have some body work to do and possibly consider rear quarter protection for the future as well as a larger fuel accumulator and 4x4x2 steering box with ram assist. Other than that, I am extremely pleased with my rig's performance this weekend. I am at a happy place where I can drive to events, wheel, have fun and not break everything on my rig. All the time, money, and hard work have paid off!!! All in all, a great time with great friends. Can't wait to do it again. I will post the few pics I have as soon as I get my stupid camera to work correctly. Carolina Broncos 6th Annual NOVRUN@URE - Bronco Biff - 11-14-2011 The Wilson crew had a great time!
