The floor mat has a few holes in it due to the A/C unit. If you like it we might make a deal. I will try to get over your way as soon as the weather brakes.

Hey Mill Knob - That looks like a great project for your son to grow up and "cut his teeth" on. There is not a better vehicle than an Early Bronco for a kid to learn what "wrenching and wheelin" really means. I bought my 74 Bronco in 1996 in Fayetteville, NC for my oldest son. Sadly, he was killed in a train accident 3 months after we purchased it. But man ol' man, did he love and treasure that Bronco for the short time he owned it before he died. He and all his buddies were into hiking, camping, 4x4s, and anything to do with the great outdoors. They all thought he had the "coolest" ride that any of them owned at the time. In the ensuing 14 years since his death, my job demands have caused moves from Fayetteville to Plant City, FL to Blue Mountain, MS and finally back to North Carolina (Wilmington). We have hauled the Bronco with us at each move. My youngest son who is 27 years old and still living in Mississippi used it as his daily driver all during high school and college. Unfortunately for him, the financial demands of a young family would not let him keep the Bronco and its ownership reverted back to me. Because of the emotional attachment my family has to this Bronco, I will never allow it to be sold. Now that I am semi-retired, I need something to spend my time and monetary resources on other than golf and being a beachbum. Besides, I now have a 4 year old grandson here in Wilmington that I look forward to teaching what it means to become a real "Broncoholic"....

I thank you for sharing your story with use. I kind have same story. Me and my dad work on all kind of 4wds when I was growing up. My dad help me buy a Bronco when I was in high school and it was a 88 Full Size bronco. We would wrench and wheel on it and that was some great times and memorys. Then my dad bought him self a 79 Full Size Bronco. We would wheel both of them at the same time. He would always tell me how his Bronco was better then mine all the time. But I got rid of my Bronco and my dads keep his. But before I bought my first Early Bronco my dad was not around to see it. He pass away in 2005. My dad always wanted one of the Early Broncos but never could find one that we could afford. So when the little 70 came up for sale the first thing I thought about was the good times and memories that me and my son could have togather working on the old Bronco.

both of those stories are excellent reminders of the true joy of this sport and hobby. its all about family and fellowship. my 2 month old already has nore fahter and son time lined up for us than either lifetime can accomodate. i just bought our first EB, which is going into full resto-mod soon, as well as halfg a dozen other toys for us to play with. i am truly sorry to here of a bond cut short so soon, and couldnt even imagine that turmoil. hold on to lifes treasures, and never take them for granted. carpe diem... you never know what tomorrow holds...
