This is pretty impressive to me:notworthy: Not to hijack or anything but what horsepower and torque numbers you get with this type of conversion. I'm pretty new to diesel, sounds like cool conversion.

The little 3.9L 4bt is tagged at a whopping 105hp @ 2,500RPM... and 260 lbs/ft of torque @ 1,700RPM.

Hope to some day take it to around 180hp and 400 ftlbs of torque. I plan to stay with the Bosch VE pump but will change out the turbo or modify the current turbo for increased rotor speeds (boost pressure).

It won't be able to take on those Ford engines in a race...but it should provide low rpm torque.

Thanks ... I'm definitely going to have to keep the exhaust work covered in MUD! Running this 4” exhaust has tested my patience...:banghead:....and has taken twice as long as I planned.....still have to install 2 hangers…

Finally got some BFG KM2 35x12.5x17 mounted to 17" rockcrawlers.... The Bronc is close to hitting on the roof when I drive it into the garage!

Thanks you can stop by to see it any time.. Hopefully, it will be on the road real soon for extended drives... just recently installed the auxillary tank. That gives the Bronc a 26 gallon total capacity. So with a 22 MPG estimate we should have a range of 500 miles before needing to buy $4.25 per gallon diesel....

Here's some photos of the mag pickup & the Dakota digital signal converter for counting teeth on the flexplate. I needed to set the gap on the sensor before putting the C4 back in.. Hope to pickup an Autometer 5K RPM diesel tach soon... Don't laugh... 5K is all it needs... especially since the little diesel is governed at 2,800 RPM at the moment.. but we can improve that a little.. for $10.00 we can take it to 3,200 rpm!!! That's using over 60% of the gauge...Confusedcratchhe:
