10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - chuzie - 11-10-2015 Long story short, ALL my ring gear bolts were found in the bottom of the axle housing. FML, gotta order a new ring and pinion and do a full setup kit for good measure. Thanks a lot torque converter solenoid! 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - donnie_ferg - 11-10-2015 im running the at bfg's they fill up with mud as soon as i leave the road 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - blazinchuck - 11-10-2015 yeah, there was a few out there...they didnt do good at all, not that they didnt give it a good try tho lol 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - wepuckett - 11-10-2015 I don't think there was anyone's tires that where not full of mud, heck we even saw a stock grand cherokee with street tires out there conquering obsticals or partly concuring them. 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - blazinchuck - 11-10-2015 i didnt have any issues with my km2's...maybe on that one muddy hill on daniel, but i didnt get to try it. 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - snipes243 - 11-10-2015 broncosbybart Wrote:Great pics! He and his dad just left with it and it appears to be shifting pulling good. Will be back to get Bronco and Trailer this Saturday. 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - rtj731 - 11-10-2015 Flyboy, What gives "Thanks a lot torque converter solenoid!", how did it contribute to your ring gear fasteners pulling out? I have seen several ring gear failures on Toyotas running an ARB setup. The installer used the original fasteners, which are a C-hair shorter than what is required for the thicker ARB. Additionally they didn't install the lock tabs like the original OEM set up. 10th Annual NovRun@URE '15 **The Big One Zero**TEN** - chuzie - 11-10-2015 I used all new hardware when i set it up. The solenoid forced me to treat the automatic transmission as a manual without a clutch because the converter was stuck in the locked position which forced me to rev it up before i put it in gear or it would stall. I did this numerous times over the weekend and i feel the excessive shock loading and torque caused the bolts in the ring gear to back out and fail. Had a blast with old friends and made some new ones. Very sorry for all the bad luck with the Chuck town crew on the way home. I myself had a blow out on the other side of Augusta in the pouring rain. |
