I'll be glad when it's over. Our guest list is 325 people. Combine that with the fact that my fiance has been in and out of jobs over the last six months, and it's been stressful. She finally has a steady check now, so things should settle down in the next few months. The cash problems should ease up some, heh.

Any progress with wiring harness?

Funny you should mention that :hysterical:

My folks came up to visit this weekend and brought me a hood I had been storing in their garage, so I'm gearing up to start tinkering with it again. I rolled it out of my garage last weekend and tried to start it up and give it a little spring shakedown, and couldn't get it to fire up. The starter was turning, and after tapping the pedal a bit I smelled gas. Went through the crank and flood for a few cycles until I just gave up on it for now.

On a whim I opened up the radiator cap and dumped some water in, and it proceeded to piss out the whole gallon on my driveway. I'm pretty sure it came like that since I got another radiator in the deal, I just didn't know it was that bad. Something else to add to the list.

In short, no, I haven't messed with the harness yet, but should have something to show in a little while.

Since I didn't get any bites on my for sale, and bound4dixie and I had some spare time, the truck got a little love. Got the front clip off, all the lights removed, the dash out, the heater box removed, and all the old harness cut away.

Got the radiator mounts welded in, she fits decently Smile Got everything out of 'er, got 8 guys coming over this afternoon to hopefully lift the body off. Time to paint that frame!

looks like there is no turning back now...

what are your plans with it?

It's not rust... - wormhole - 05-11-2012

Well, because it's been sitting, I need to drain the fuel and oil. Also going to paint the frame, fix the cut e-brake cables (and replace a missing rear stud), rig up the power steering (and get a new pulley set), and probably get a decent exhaust on there so Raleigh PD doesn't cite me for noise, haha. Should have a better angle to put on the front driveshaft too.

The biggest thing was painting the frame though. I'd like to take it out to Carolina Beach, and that sand and salt will eat it up in no time.
