Awesome work! Those are the straightest lines I've seen on an EB - congrats :xyxthumbs:

Thanks! That was the hardest part was getting the doors, fenders, rockers, and the quarters all lined up while they were still loose. I used tons of clamps, screws and tacks to hold it together will I moved everything around. Now that the metal is all replaced I can finish the rotisserie and get it mounted to that. When I finish that I'll set the body aside and start working on the chassis.

Bighorn Build Thread - Bighorn - 12-10-2008

I finished the rotisserie and moved the body over to storage so I could start on the chassis. I stripped the chassis down and sent the frame to the sandblaster. I cut the coil towers and all the shock mounts off before it went to the blaster. I had some frame patching to do when it got back.

After the frame patching, I started mocking up the front suspension and tacking everything into place. I chose to use the f250 shock mounts versus hoops and the seem to be line up nicely with the duff arms. New coil buckets, 3.5" WH springs, Bilsteins shocks.

Real nice stuff... :notworthy: Confusedmokin: :notworthy:

When you get all done we need to talk about those body and frame rottiseries ( I have no right getting mad with john paul's spelling grades :hysterical: )
Anyway I feel a body removal and frame upgrade in my future...Confusedcratchhe:

F250 shock mounts... I like that... hmmm

But the sad thing is I am in the collecting coin stage right now...Confusedupergrin:
I have a big list of upgrades and 40" LTB's to top it off...

Wow, you are getting a lot of work done on it. Do you know what color you are going to paint the body? Keep up the good work :xyxthumbs:

That's been a huge topic around the house. We've been floating alot of different colors around but haven't settled on any.

Some options are:

2008 Ford Blazing Copper Metallic

Ford Legend Lime

2007 Honda CRV Green Tea Metallic

Heep Rescue Green

Sonic Blue, Silver Two Tone

1990 Ford Range Crystal Metallic Blue

2007 Ford Expedition Stone Green

2002 Lexus Jade Green

I'm not sure where it's going to land...it's just never seems to get settled long.
