Made a tire carrier bumper for the back of the yellow project today. Hope to get it painted/installed tomorrow. I thought there was a 2" receiver tube laying around here but I couldn't find it. Turns out Tractor Supply carries them for $20, FYI if you need one in a pinch like I did.

How did you attach it to rear? 4x2" tubing?

What did you use for the pivot? Did you make it or buy it?

FYI... Harbor Freight also carries the receiver tubes. You can pick up a 24" section for almost the same price as a 6" section, and with a coupon even cheaper. I've stocked up on the longer pieces in the past and cut them to fit and drilled the pin hole.

Nice yellow bronco!

I don't know what Charles did, but I have used trailer spindles in the past. Everything you need at Northern Tool or TSC and reasonalbly priced.

The yellow project is coming along. It is a mix match of stuff, but frame off and all that. Not as nice as the green 76.

This pivot was a previously used deal, but I have bought new ones from A to Z fab as they are pretty cheap. Actually, just checked and prices went up about $10 since my last order. I used 2x4 (0.25" wall) rectangular tube for the lower bumper and to attach to the frame horns. 2x4 fits very nicely inside of the frame rail.

Is that a glass body?

Mmm maybe. It is steel with some filler in the quarters...

It is actually in decent shape but the exterior body was done before I got it. The door posts/strikers look great as do the rockers. I put front floors in it.

I see!! It's Purty!! Thought I would get to do some of my back bumper project this weekend, but as usual my world had other plans! Meanwhile the stock is laying in wait getting weathered along with the recycle I didn't take off!!!!! Where'd the time go?!?!?

Finished the Power Brake coversion had to bleed them a few times to remove air, pedal feels must better than before and no longer have to stand on the brakes to get them to stop. Bought a Mityvac to assist in the bleeding (makes one man brake work easier). While I was there replaced both calipers and went to the stock 80 chevy k10 brake hoses could get braided line to stop leaking thik the black is just too think to allow enough penetration by the bolt into caliper.
