I started on the Floor Pans today and the pasenger side is 1 piece but the Drivers side is being done with 3 pieces due to the Sheetmetal being so thick making bending it a Pita.

moving right along. your work looks great! i do a lot of this kind of work in the winter, which I prefer since I can bundle up and work outside in relative comfort. Can't imagine doing a lot of grinding and welding in the summer!!!

My current break is my welding table,a piece of 5 in x 1/4 L channel and a few clamps and Lots of Pounding with the BFH. I am looking for a 4 FT Break right now but cant pull the trigger on 1 just yet.If My XR sells there will be 1 added soon once I get the Motor off the stand and the rest of Roberts stuff out the Garage.
It is Hot as Hell right now but my work area is shaded behind the House till about 6.30 pm then it is Beer time.

I use a piece of 5 in 1/4 wall angle and a 5 in flat piece on top to sandwich the metal and I clamp it to the table and start working the metal.It is the Poor mans way of bending sheet steel as this stuff is so thick is aint sheet metal.I learned this method yrs ago doing A/C work as a sheet metal mechanic.

They aint welded in yet.I have to drill lots of holes to attach them and PT is @ 1.30 so it screws up my day.I need to go by Dr Davis's place tomorrow to see what he needs welded in the Kennel area also.
