My Silver '76 - BucknEB - 06-21-2012 We cut out the passenger floor pan last night and then we cut and fitted the new floor pan. There was a chit ton of spot welds to drill out and the whole process took a little longer than expected. The extra time spent on it was worth it. The cut and fitment came out damn near perfect.:xyxthumbs: My Silver '76 - SC74 - 06-21-2012 Ahhhhhh... those pics bring back memories. Self tapping screws are your friend for sure. Looking great. Are you doing the driver side too? My Silver '76 - medwards01 - 06-21-2012 BucknEB....great pics of the passenger side floor pan work....That's some nice chit there!! :notworthy: My Silver '76 - chuzie - 06-22-2012 I saw it last night and those pans really are nice. They are pretty thick and Chuck did a great job fitting them. My Silver '76 - BucknEB - 08-15-2012 We made some more progress last night. I worked on grinding the welds down on the passenger side floor pan. Chuck cut and replaced the rusted sections of the lower driver side kick panel and began welding the driver side floor pan. The progress is slow but it is getting done right. :xyxthumbs: My Silver '76 - chuzie - 08-15-2012 Interesting to see Chuck without his back brace, knee brace and walker!!! Looking good though. Glad to finally see some progress. Sure is nice to have the time to do things right. You won't regret it! Just hurry up and get that thing out of MY garage! My Silver '76 - Crawdad - 08-15-2012 Good job guys! Will be doing the same to my 76 and 72 before too long. My Silver '76 - snipes243 - 08-16-2012 Looking good My Silver '76 - BucknEB - 08-16-2012 We got some more work done last night. The driver side floor pan is completely welded in, and I'm finished grinding on the passenger side. Sorry, but no pics of the progress last night. Some more stuff that I have acquired: BCB EFI hard fuel line kit with mounting brackets. BCB SS braided fuel lines w/ fuel pressure gauge TBP Radiator fan shroud for a 2'' BL BCB locking header bolts and gaskets BCB Fuel filler neck hose and breather hose. Explorer Serpentine assembly with all the accessories. 2 stock front seats in great condition 1 stock rear seat in great condition long tube headers TBP H4 halogen headlights w/ harness Gettin' excited!:xyxthumbs: My Silver '76 - BucknEB - 09-06-2012 We are making progress. Chuck welded in the mounts for the BCB fuel tank. The frame has been power washed, then scraped, then wire brushed, and finally scrubbed with a lot of Acetone. Last night we got the frame painted with the POR15. The next step is to finish spraying the undercoat on the rear of the underside of truck. Then we will prep and paint the engine bay. After all that we have to apply the POR top coat to the frame to complete this section of the project. We are hoping to have the body lift and bushings installed and the body mounted back to the frame by Sunday. Progress.:xyxthumbs: I'm trying out the photo bucket picture post style for the first time. I like it! :xyxthumbs: P.S. No comments about the BS rear blocks, they are coming out ASAP!mokin: |
