Got the engine assembled last weekend, dropped it in and rebuilt the carb (thanks Chuck!). Going to get back to the body work next weekend.
Got some seats from a friend, torn and worn but with good frames. Came out of a stealth like liz's. Since hers were in good shape but the drivers was bent, I will combine all the parts and make a good set for the truck. Free is for me.
Hoping to paint it soon.

Another weekend update, complicatons arose when trying to work out the stealth seats. So a trip to the local pic n pull (literetly 4 miles up the road from me and no thats not why I bought my house). Walked the whole yard before deciding on a set of seats from a 94 mazda mx6. Good bolster and in very good shape.
Spent saterday putting the engine back together after figurering out the starter issue. Then today I made the pass seat fit the stock folding base. Then made custom mounts for the drivers side.
The pic of the radiator, trans cooler and fan is work I did last week.
I also prepaid for the factory a/c system from a 79 pu. Minus the compresor which I still have one from the last 79 bronco I had. Will be pulling it next sat. Literally before they crush it. Sad, it has a good body.
While I will have to relocate the rear window switch it will be nice to have the a/c. Since I already pulled all of the heater stuff out of mine it will be an easy install.
Saw lots of nice stuff, nothing I need or can aford. But if you like those old scouts, they have a complet one thats schedualed to be crushed next week. Seems a shame but I dont need anymore toys. Also saw a few saveable 67 mustangs and a few 2wd trucks with very clean bodys.
I also scored a 3 grove pully for my crew cab as well as the compressor and mounts.

Nice work! Is the plan for us to see this debut in Nov?!

The budget build - broncomatt - 09-28-2010

I am trying my best to get it done, any weekend after colombus day it should be painted. So if anybody wants to come help put it back together after that come on.

The budget build - blazinchuck - 09-28-2010

i will do my best, I know i said I would come up and help...but to be honest...money is tight, and if i get money to travel...i wanna wheel lol

Cant say I blame ya, It will realy depend on if I get it painted that weekend. I still need to do something with the hard top, plus once its painted I need to put down the bed liner on the floor. Whats also killing my shop time is spending this sat pulling the a/c system out of that 79. Some where in there I need to get the rv out and ready for URE since I havent used it since the last URE run. If it isnt done by then It will be ready for the meetngreet for sure.
