Sounds like the guy that painted mine. I've felt your pain. It's hard to be patient but worth it in the end.

Its the paint fumes. Painters can't tell time after awhile. Never seen a shop get the product out on the promised date. You are correct with the excuses. They all have a laundry list of them. Did see a painter put a hold on everything in the shop and had his own Chevy dually completly repainted in a week for a show he was going to. Then bragged about how good it looked.
