You guys should check out your local sams club, I spotted my new winch there, Its a 10,000lb winch with fair lead, remote with 10ft line and mounting bracket for $349

Got mine for $172. Still need to finish the mounts. This weekend I couldent get on it as much as I would like to. Mother nature made me build a green house for our patio plants, but I did get the rv out and pressure wash it and the hard top for the full size. Still working on tuning up the old rv, it has been sitting since last years trip.
What work I did do on the full size was back paddling. Got everything rewired and hooked up on the engine. Primed it with my drill, and couldnt get the distributer in. After some scrutiny I found that the casting plug I got (free) from the machine shop was not the correct one. It is too tall and wont let the dist. gear pass. So I have to pull the timing cover back off to change it with the correct one. Some times it doesnt pay to save money on things. Should have bought the kit insted of trying to get something for free. I dont think it will be done for URE, but alteast the rv and eb are ready.

Hi Matt just wondering do you have a back seat and r u going to use it again for the big bronco . By the way the trucks looking good .Just trying to find one for mine maybe .

The budget build - broncomatt - 10-13-2010

Yes I do have the rear seat, but I plan to use it. I recently dug it out of where I had it stored and looked it over. Has some tears in the bottom cover so I need to look into a cover that will match my front seats well.

Spent some time building a bull bar. It runs and has new shocks at all 4 corners. Overhauled the front axle. Built a hold down for the spare tire. Going back to the body work for now.

i cant wait to see this on the trails!

Spent some more time on it, got it in primer. Then after cutting some wood to heat the shop I put some spot putty on it. Found a few low spots to fill.
I think with the bull bar and tools and spares I will probably put some leveling springs under it as soon as I can afford to. I am hoping to paint it next weekend if the weather is right.
I have decided to pull the detroit out of the EB and put it into this. I have always wanted to put a spool in the eb and since the ring and pinion are blown I guess this is the right opertunity. For now I will keep the front open.
The last pic is my spare tire mount and jerry can mount.
