what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - wepuckett - 06-23-2014 Ok another update as I wasn't finished earlier got busy again and got some more done. I finished pulling the front end and got the rear drive shaft out. Now to pull the trans and transfer case, but no trans jack or hoist yet will get those soon. Once trans is out I can focus on the rear end and then will be done till I get next load of stuff home on the 2nd. what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - wepuckett - 06-24-2014 got it down to just the trans and transfer case and some wiring and brake lines still attached along the frame. what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - wepuckett - 06-25-2014 Ok got the trans and transfer case out but those bolts holding the radius support arms to the front axle and the rear bolt for the leaf springs on both sides in the back are a pain. Picked up some PB blaster and soaked em. Once those are out I can put the frame outside and sit back and wait till next week when I bring the next load home. Will add some more pics of the frame and front end and rear end so everyone can see them. Trans will be sitting on the middle of the floor in the middle of the frame. This chasis didn't have an engine but the next one does. what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - snipes243 - 06-25-2014 Got the radiator and fan shroud in. Still need to drill some holes for air to go through . Still need to install the fan guard so I don't eat a radiator. Has anybody ever installed one of these? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - chuzie - 06-25-2014 Heat is a great complement to pb blaster on our rusty rigs. Clay, i have seen more radiator guards do nothing than protect a radiator. Why u need to drill holes for air to go through? Explain yourself chuzie? The lower rad bracket needs holes put in it. It's hard to see from the pics, but the radiator goes down inside the frame rails it's a monster. I want maximum cooling. what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - snipes243 - 06-25-2014 chuzie Wrote:Oh, the PBR on the battery... Well played. Gotta stay classy what have you wrenched on your bronco(s) today? - chuzie - 06-25-2014 Okay. I interpreted it as you wanted to drill holes in shroud. Disregard. Get some high density foam to fill in the gaps between radiator and support. I threw in a bit between grill and support just inboard of blinker to prevent air loss outboard forcing all through radiator. Perhaps consider a piece of metal across top of grill spanning gap to support. I used flashing. Makes a great tool tray and further increases directed airflow through radiator.
