bypass modual - broncomatt - 09-25-2008 This is a simple bypass you can make to continue driving a ford after the distributer modual has died. I learned how to make this years ago when I was at ford. When the modual dies the truck may start then die or not start at all. we made these so we wouldent have to change them out side in the cold. It uses a known good modual, and the end of a harness that plugs into the modual. The wires are simply cut and attached as shown, you then plug the harness into the dist(dead modual) and the truck harness into the working good modual. Keep in mind it takes a special socket to remove the modual from the dist. You can grind a 7/32 socket down, but that will only work once or twice. If you own a 90's ford truck I would get a socket and make one of these to keep just in case. Broncomatt bypass modual - bucketobolts - 09-26-2008 That is a really good idea. That is a lot better then trying to change the module on the side of the road or on the trail. |
