6" Bronco Lift Question - 2000F150SAS - 10-28-2008

I'm getting ready to install a 6" Rough Country Lift on my son's 90 Brionco.

1. will i need longer brake lines?
2. will i need to extend the front and rear driveshafts?
3. will i need sway-bar drop brackets?

This Bronco will do NO off roading.

Thanks

I've got the same lift on my 90...

1. Yes. Longer Brake lines.
2. Nope... 6" is about as much as you can go without extending them though...
3. Yep. If you want to keep it, anyway. Not sure it does much anymore after the lift and tires...

Even though you say NO off roading, I'd still recommend getting the rear leafs pack... I did the blocks at first because money was tight and I was in a hurry. One trail ride later.... and I was driving with front wheel drive only. Broke a rear block, axle wrapped and had to remove rear driveshaft just to get back to camp... Not to mention it'll replace those old worn out rear springs and level your ride (if it's sagging at all out back).

HTH,
JayT

Not a problem!

You gonna make the Nov run @ URE? Got a spare seat in one of my rides, if you don't wanna wheel the 90. Hell, you're right around the corner (I'm near McGees xroads).

Thanks for the offer but we can't make it. My son plays high school football and with football all week and game on Friday night and then he works on the weekend we don't have time to do the lift. haha.

Thanks for the offer because I know my younger son would love to take his Cherokee with the new 6.5" lift.

Thanks

If you are looking at springs, my recommendation would be B.D.S., I used them when I lifted my truck 6 years ago and have had no problems with them. Also, (assuming they still do this) if they ever develop spring sag, I was told I can request new springs, and pick them up when I drop off my old springs, no money out of pocket. This as oppose to having to take your springs off, sending them for inspection, wait for the new springs to be shipped out.

Just my $.02.

keep in mind that 5.5 suspension and 3" body and 35" tires is about the lmit on what can fit through most standard garage doors.
