New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - SCNative - 02-20-2009 Hello everyone. I bought a creme-puff 69 wagon a few weeks ago with 36K miles on it and unmolested from Alabama. It's fantastic. I'm sure I'll have questions from time to time. I'll look forward to meeting some other Bronco enthusiasts at the next Charleston area meeting. -Craig New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - blazinchuck - 02-20-2009 ah HAA! you're the one...lc4x4 called me about...some stock wheels??? welcome to the club bro! we'd love to have ya join us next time! chuck New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - SCNative - 02-20-2009 I bought wheels from Jeff's BG. I'll have to strip, sandblast, prime and paint them likely. I looked around for some new powder coated wheels, but was unlucky. I'm concerned that the wheels won't be wide enough for the right tire. I'm likely going to have to use 235/75R15. The 215/75R15 are a better width, but they are too short and the 30X9.50 are too wide. I wish I could put the MT Stonewalls on (30x7.50), but they aren't DOT approved. I talked to MT and they said, "Do not use these tires on the road." I'm not sure what to do. I also would like to level the Bronco out a little (front to back) and the original springs are also sagging a bit. I know that I want to upgrade the suspension, and I'm considering a 2 inch lift, but I don't want it too high. I really want it to continue looking stock, but with a little better ground clearance and leveled like I wrote. Not sure what to do????? I look forward to meeting you. -Craig New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - johnpaulgolf - 02-20-2009 Sounds like a great truck mokin:... New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - SCNative - 02-20-2009 Even though I've tried reading the directions, I can't figure out how to attach photos. If someone can write me a tutorial for dummies, I'll put some photos of my Bronco on the thread. Thanks. -Craig :xyxthumbs: New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - johnpaulgolf - 02-20-2009 I use photobucket and copy and paste "img code" ... :popc1: New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - obxbronco - 02-20-2009 or just add attachments. New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - JayT - 02-20-2009 Welcome, Craig! Can't wait to see your ride. Also join us in Charlotte or Raleigh this spring and summer for some more Meet & greets! This might help posting pics... http://www.cb4x4.com/upload/showthread.php?t=1029 Pretty much every bronco vendor we've got will help you pick the right spring pack.... I know that BC broncos has been a great help to members here for picking the right spring pack and getting their rides where they wanted them. Give em a call and speak to them. They'll get ya right! JayT New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - SCNative - 02-20-2009 This is a picture taken by the seller when I first saw it. Now the brush guard is gone and the grill I've been working on to restore it to original wimbledon white with polished trim. It's in my garage and I'll wet sand tonight and replace the trim. I'll get new pictures tomorrow. -C New to Club, New 69 Bronco Wagon - broncomania - 02-20-2009 wow !!!!! thats a nice bronco. welcome to cb4x4. |
