What year? Are you referring to a Key Fob on your keychain?

I'd think there would be something under the hood.... a small box with alot of wires coming out of it. Some I've seen even have a small plastic like antenna.

Probably would not say FORD on it.

Keyless entry has been around since mid 80's but I don't know about trucks. Call your local Ford parts store and ask them! :xyxthumbs:

The keyless entry box/alarm system (same thing) is wired in next to the steering column near the fuse box. It will have a couple of flat wire connectors that usually wire into the ignition and fuse box. If you get some of the info off of the box and google the instructions on how to program it you can get a FOB on ebay and register it with the box, most do at least 4. The box will be getting the serial number the FOB transmits and storing it. It can be a pain to get the procedures to work. The basic box works lights, locks, and ignition interupt. Then you add modules for remote start and such.
