charleston - sparkchaser - 04-22-2009 Ok you guys,2nd anniversary is coming up in June and I am expected to take the wife somewhere nice(I've been told no circle track, dragstrip, tractor pull, mudsling or pretty much no where else I would want to do).I,ve thought about going to Charleston but don't know that much about the area.Would this be the kind of place to take her and maybe make her overlook any new projects I may drive, drag,or push into the yard?upergrin: charleston - trkbilder - 04-22-2009 Yes!!! That's a great place for a romantic get away! My wife and I camped in Mt. Pleasant at the KOA and commuted across the old bridge to Charleston. We had a wonderful time. I would recommend it to any young couple. ( that was before CB4X4, Chuck!) :xyxthumbs: charleston - sparkchaser - 04-22-2009 Yeah I got to be nice and considerate cause this go-round i think I found somebody that will put up with my BS:biggthumpup:And I need to start the summer off right because she don't know that I plan on another Bronc this summer:twothumbs:maybe it won't be noticed. charleston - trkbilder - 04-23-2009 sparkchaser Wrote:Yeah I got to be nice and considerate cause this go-round i think I found somebody that will put up with my BS:biggthumpup:And I need to start the summer off right because she don't know that I plan on another Bronc this summer:twothumbs:maybe it won't be noticed.Yea, right. My wife and I went there on our anniversery trip a few years ago. She loved it and I had a really good time as well. Find yourself I nice bed and breakfast. We stayed at the Battery Carrige House in all the way down on the Battery. the normally have a package deal where you can get a carrige ride, admission to a couple of the famous houses and maybe a late nigh ttour of the city included all in one price. Just a side note, we went down to Savanah, GA last year and we both agreed that we enjoyed it more, but I would go back to either place. I loved them both. charleston - 66stocker - 05-06-2009 My wife and I (and kids) stayed at the isle of palms resort just across the harbor. The beach and pools are nice at the resort and they had some smoking deals at the hotel there. It's a short drive across to charleston. We parked at the aquarium and took a bike taxi into town. Had dinner then a carrage ride around the battery. It was a nice little trip and did'nt cost a fortune. charleston - supertoyota88 - 05-07-2009 what i think is kinda funny yall talk about cuming my way for vac and nice areas to stay and i want to go up nc for my next vac cuz i live here and see it to much lol and on tha note what would be some nice place to go to up in nc my first anniversary is coming up in stepmber charleston - trkbilder - 05-07-2009 supertoyota88 Wrote:what i think is kinda funny yall talk about cuming my way for vac and nice areas to stay and i want to go up nc for my next vac cuz i live here and see it to much lol and on tha note what would be some nice place to go to up in nc my first anniversary is coming up in stepmber If you're going in late Sept., go to Asheville. The leaves are just starting to turn(if you're lucky) and the mountains are always peaceful. There's lots to do in Asheville if you plan ahead. Cherokee might be another choice. You're just a short drive from Gatlinberg and Pigeon Forge and I know there's plenty to do there. :xyxthumbs: |
