Got a New to me tractor - SC74 - 05-10-2009 It's not easy on the eye, but it runs wonderfully. I bought it from the original owner - it's an early 60's Ford 4000 Industrial model - 172 cubic inch diesel engine. I have had my eye out for a good deal and that's what I got! It came with 4 flat tires a 5' bush hog too. You've got to hot wire it to get it to start so I've got some wiring to do and tires to buy. I'll flush all of the fluids and grease everything so it's got a fresh service before I do anything with it. Sheet metal work will come down the road. It's only a tractor - as long as it's functional I really don't care what it looks like upergrin: Got a New to me tractor - cuz1 - 05-10-2009 nice-- you wil have fun with that. I sold a an old 8n Ford tractor of Neal's last month. Got a New to me tractor - broncomania - 05-10-2009 its got the right name brand on it. nice score. Got a New to me tractor - trkbilder - 05-11-2009 Good find. I've always wanted a Ford 6000 Industrial but I only need it for about 1 hour. I've got a hill to get rid of. I'll replace those with tractor tires. The rears are extremely dry rotted so I'll get new rear rubber too - I can get great deals through the tire co. we use here at work for the dump trucks etc. I'm going to pick up a service manual at TSC tonight so I can start on the wiring - or at least preparing for it. Can't be much to it - worst headache will be getting the birds-nest of wires the PO did out of there. Got a New to me tractor - SC74 - 05-11-2009 trkbilder Wrote:Good find.
