Mustang Week @ Myrtle Beach - bucketobolts - 07-26-2009 I took the family to the beach for vacation. Plan was that the kids would ride down with a family friend and the wife and I would drive my Mustang. Plans changed and the friend couldn't leave till late. So we loaded up in the Passat. As we arrived I made a comment about there being an awful lot of Mustangs around. Then on the sign in front of Hooters' is "Welcome Mustang Week". It was awesome! And I did not have mine:banghead:. I would not be afraid to say that there were at least a thousand there. Vendor trailers surrounded the Bass Pro parking lot, the entire middle section filled with cars, the Hooters' parking lot, and the entire front parking area of the mall filled with Mustangs! People lined Hwy 17 filming cars as they left out of the parking lot. And most behaved:xyxthumbs: Of coarse I didn't have my camera with me till Sat. morning when I was able to snap a couple pics as people were arriving. I didn't stay all day as I had a lazy river and Miller's calling my name. Here is couple pics: Mustang Week @ Myrtle Beach - bucketobolts - 07-26-2009 These two were late model S197 body cars dressed to look like '72 Mach 1 and '66 2+2 fastback. This is a 2010 Shelby GT 500 that made 700hp with only a tune, supercharger pulleys, and exhaust. Of coarse he has done a bit more to it now. Mustang Week @ Myrtle Beach - broncomania - 07-26-2009 nice pics. the red s197 looks a lot more like a 69shelby rather than a 72mach1. Mustang Week @ Myrtle Beach - Mill Knob - 07-26-2009 Any time you can hit a car show while on vacations is always a good time. I love the new look of the Mustang. Thanks for the pictures.... |
