I've had the Pertronix II in mine for years and no trouble at all. Simple install and forget it's there.

One of the best upgrades to the stock Ignition system but keep the points and stick them in the glove box just incase. It is easy to swap them back out.

I had nothing but problems out of my Pertronix set-up, but I also had various misc. wiring issues that may have been the root of my problems. A centech harness and DUI distributor later I have not looked back.
