Home-made consoles - cdeal28078 - 11-07-2007 Any home-made consoles out there? Looking for any ideas on them as I pulled the stock one out of my 86 FSB the other day. I just don't think it really serves the purpose. Too large, taking up too much space and the inside has no dividers so everything ends up in a mess. Drink holders are too short. Plastic is cracking on the sides anyway. Clint Home-made consoles - bucketobolts - 11-07-2007 I was going to build one of my rig. I decided to wait till I figure out my cage first. I plan on building mine out of .060 aluminum. I want to add a DIN mount for my CB, enclose my shifter, and of coarse a cup holder. My plans for the cage include a spreader bar to cross the floor pan to mount my seats and belts to. So I will have to work around some tubing. LOL If it's good enough to go in your truck I know I'll be happy with it. I'm serious, build us both one and I'll pay for all the wood and supplies. Just make it tall enough I can rest my arm on it. |
