MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - nhopman - 03-10-2010 Just thought I'd post the dates for the Fawl Crawl, incase anyone from CB4X4 would be interested in going. I will post more info about the event when it gets closer to October. But I will say that the trail at Harlan are really fun and can be as hard or as easy as you want, it is a great place to wheel. MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - berg bronco - 03-10-2010 I heard they have a few easy trails could you take a stock bronco on them with out much trouble? MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - nhopman - 03-11-2010 They do have easy trails. One nice thing about Harlan is that most of the trails are off of main roads, so you could even follow a hard group and watch them on the hard trail and drive the main road to meet them at the end of the trail. Some of the trails and roads do get overgrown, so there is sometimes tree limbs that you may hit when driving, so you'd have to be careful about that. There is also a few that will have empty seats available and you could ride with them on the trails. MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - SC74 - 03-11-2010 My goal for the bruggy was last year's Fawl Crawl and did not make it. I haven't worked on it since it's been so cold and wet but we need to get back on it. Maybe THIS year's event will be the innagural run for it! MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - nhopman - 03-11-2010 Well, you have some time to turn wrenches. Hopefully with the nice weather coming up you'll feel like getting back on it. I remember once in the middle of my big re-build, I flat out got disgusted with it one weekend and didn't even look at it for 3 months. I remember once in the middle of my big re-build, I flat out got disgusted with it one weekend and didn't even look at it for 3 months. That's exactly where I am!! The weather hasn't helped motivate me either, but you are right - the pretty weather is making me itch to get back on it. Jessica and I have just broken ground on building a new home but that won't stop me from finding time to wrench. MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - medwards01 - 03-11-2010 Nicer weather and daylight savings time just a few days away unny: will turn my "quality recliner" time leep: into "quality wrenching" time on the old EB. :xyxthumbs: MEB Fawl Crawl, Harlan KY October 15-16, *PICS ADDED* - Mill Knob - 03-12-2010 SC74 Wrote:That's exactly where I am!! STOCKER FRIENDLY TRAILS, TOO! The Putney trailhead, and the Black Moutain Park, is located adjacent to state/national parklands with miles of very scenic gravel or dirt roads. If you have a stock or mildly modified vehicle this is an ideal place to come do some mild wheeling and scenic driving in the KY mountains. We'll be staging the trail rides out of the Putney Trailhead / Harlan County Campground. Trail rides both days will line up about 8:00-8:30 a.m. and ready to leave at 9:00 a.m.. Come join us if you can! This is a low-key event where we try to get in as much wheeling in 2 days as we can! Hope to see you there! |
