electrical help - krazybronco - 05-04-2010 i need help like very soon ok so this is the problem that happened last night the horn in my 93 explorer starts going off around 9 last night so go out and unhook the horn well so as i do that i the head lights come on and the switch is not on so they shouldnt be on. well i just disconnect the battery cause i dont have time or the energy to worry about it. well since it has done this before i go to the local advanced auto parts and get a headlight switch and just installed it and i still have the same problem. can some one help me maybe diagnoses this problem electrical help - blazinchuck - 05-04-2010 is there an alarm? electrical help - krazybronco - 05-04-2010 yes there is an alarm but it only half works but i think it was 2 wires that are no longer plugged into something and they were touching so put tape around each one and it seemed to work but it could be something else and i just dont know what it is but it is working now electrical help - broncomatt - 05-04-2010 To start remove the alarm and return the wiring to stock. electrical help - krazybronco - 05-05-2010 where would i start to take the alarm out cause when the alarm goes off i just put the key in the door and unlock it and it goes off also i dont think my haynes manual has a wireing diagram of the alarm system. but to be honest im ready to sell the explorer because of all the small things i have to do to keep it running (not a very reliabe DD) and find something that gets better gpm than 15mpg out of a 4.0 v6 |
