i lifted it just a little - krazybronco - 08-07-2010 so i finally put the 2in lift that i have had for well over 3 years under the bronco today and it ony cost me some blood and a 12 pack of sam adams so here are some pics and before you say anything yes it needs an alighnment going to need new shocks for the front and most likey for the rear also but chevy lowering shackles work great for lifting a bronco2 and Russ compressing the spring to put in becuase it wouldnt go in any other way i lifted it just a little - SC74 - 08-08-2010 Cool - good pics. You going to run the same tires for now? i lifted it just a little - krazybronco - 08-08-2010 if i drive it is will be just around the yard to help the settle the springs a little more cause i really dont want to drive it on the road with the alignhment so far off but question for you TTB bronco guys how hard is it to change the camber bushings i also never answered your question i plan on those tires being on the street and the boggers i got back in may to be the play tires but i need to mount the boggers and see how much of the fenders i will have to cut on the front and back i lifted it just a little - blazinchuck - 08-09-2010 hells yeah....good job! i lifted it just a little - krazybronco - 08-09-2010 the plans for this weekend are to mount the boggers onto the black wheels i have on the explorer and mount the bfgs ATs on the chrome wheels i have (they are 15x8s and black steelies are 15x10s) so it will look better and when i mount the boggers i am going to try the airsoft bb thing and see how it works if they dont it will only cost 20 bucks at the most and plus they are going to be trail tires so it wont matter as much if they arent balanced also i might have found some shocks that will fit need to put the boggers on and flex it out and see what i will need but pics will come when it start the mounting process i lifted it just a little - trkbilder - 08-11-2010 Glad to see you're still working on the ole girl!!! :xyxthumbs: i lifted it just a little - krazybronco - 08-15-2010 well today my friend scott came over to my house and we swapped out my wheels and tires so now dora the explorer has bfg ats with chrome wheels and the bronco now has some 31x1050 boggers on the black steelies i will post pics tomorrow cause i was to excited to grab the camera to take picks of the bronco with the boggers but i do have to say it looks really good and looks like an offroad rig now just with the boggers the pluses of the last 2 weekends are .5 of ground clearance at least 1-2 in of approach and deparcher angles the bad is i need some gears really bad (cant spin the bogger in grass in 2wd but can in 4lo) also the boggers weight alot more than the bfgs so i have to sit on the ground to get them on the lugs (not good if you have to change a tire in the mudd) i lifted it just a little - krazybronco - 08-16-2010 i now have the boggers on and flexed it just a little and still have 2in before i hit the bump stops on the rear pass side but here are some pics i lifted it just a little - GOODOLEBOY84 - 10-15-2010 careful with those boggers on that d28, the stub shafts are really weak, i had a 84 ranger with 373's, with 31" baja claws, i was breaking them left and right, i lifted it just a little - JayT - 10-15-2010 Looking forward to seeing this at the Nov run! |
