good mechanics in the lowcountry - skrit - 08-09-2010
As much as I want to do everything to my 74 Bronco myself, in reality, some things are best left to those more experienced. As such, I would really appreciate some recommendations on mechanics in the Charleston, SC area that may have done some good work for you guys in the past.
In particular, my steering is a mess and I need a new steering stabilizer, linkage bushings and tie rod ends replaced and power steering box rebuilt. I think my geometry is off too since my pitman arm is at a weird angle. Pretty sure I'm going to send my box to west texas offroad.
Also looking for a carb expert that can get my timing and a new rebuilt Edelbrock 1406 carb swap dialed in.

Chuck is the man. His shop has everything and he knows Bronco's. Don't bother with some of these local 'mechanics' in the yellow pages. They have no idea how to work a classic ride and will charge you out the rear.
