Heater box : Name that part! - chuzie - 12-28-2010 Just rebuilt the heater box with new seals and upgraded motor. When I was done I had a spring looking piece (right side black) left over and cannot recall where it lives. Any takers? Also, what is the function of this electrical dealie I have pictured on the left? I cannot see how it has any function in this heater with the new Chevy motor. Thanks, Mike Heater box : Name that part! - Mill Knob - 12-28-2010 I know what the little black clip is for. It holds the heater core in place. If you need pic showing I can get you one. Heater box : Name that part! - chuzie - 12-29-2010 Hey, YO, I am also taking care of my kids and my garage is on the other side of the apartment complex so it is not easy to work on it these days. I really need to get back in a house!!! Heater box : Name that part! - broncosbybart - 12-29-2010 A little late, but the 'springy thing' is a resistor. it is used for your low fan speed switch. high fan speed is direct 12V to the fan. |
