PCV Grommet 1996 5.8L - jrshepherd - 01-03-2011 Im having a lot of trouble removing the PCV grommet on my 1996 5.8L. I can't see the round elbow, and I can't twist it out. Does anyone know how to remove the grommet? There is the grommet, elbow (Round hard plastic), house to PCV and then the PCV to intake manfold. Everything is out except the grommett and round elbow (hard plastic). Thanks for the pic? PCV Grommet 1996 5.8L - blazinchuck - 01-03-2011 well, if your gonna replace it anyway...just take a razor blade to trim the grommet down some or slice it a little...so it will release the elbow and then the grommet can come out PCV Grommet 1996 5.8L - jrshepherd - 01-03-2011 I wish I could. It can't be cut with a razor blade. The elbow part is round plastic not rubber. I think it is only on the 5.8L. thanks!
