I don't belong to any firearms forums (although I reckon I should find a good one)... With the Dixie Gun & Knife show coming to Raleigh next weekend, I'm doing some research... While I'm at it, I'll ask you guys too...

What's a good (subjective to opinions) pistol small enough for Jill's hands, and also future-carry, for less than 400 bucks? Thinking a .380... but not necessarily.

Thanks.

yo...i have a taurus millenium pt 140.40 cal. and new they are only about $380. it has a small compact frame but packs some punch. it doesnt kick bad either. would be something a little larger than 380 but with knockdown power. they also make that model in various calibers. but it would fit nicely in a purse or coat pocket.

X2 on the revolver. Small, simple, dependable and reasonably cheap.

The 380 will cost you to shot. All of them cost to shot but a 380 bullets are high. I carry a 357 Sig. It is not a revolver but it is a good carring gun, shotting, and the bullets will not put you in ther poor house to shoot..

I have a S&W Bodyguard .380 i purchased for $306 + tax new. I keep a large frame S&W .357 for the house. The wife likes to shoot it with .38s instead of the wrist twisting .357s.
