ok, so while I was wheeling last weekend...the steering took a dump. after calling PSC...i pulled the valving out the back and polished it up hoping that would fix it-but no luck. right now if the truck is idle or moving slow...i have no steering, only when im driving down the road does the steering work ok(just barely ok tho)
problem is...i got this steering pump/reservoir from that FSB with the tons...so i dont know where is even came from. so after plugging in some different makes and models on the auto sites...looks like i found one that looks just like what i have

I currently have a pump for a
1989 Chevrolet Truck V3500 1 ton P/U 4WD 6.2L Diesel 8cyl
This vehicle originally came with hydroboost brakes so it already has dual returns in the pump housing.
It was OK with my system, but when I was on the brakes, I had to rev the engine to around 1000 rpm to get decent steering.
I had my hydroboos hi-flowed by Vanco in CA and that made a world of difference, it was expensive to have done, more than I really wanted to spend, but it was a complete re-build and modification cost was $400 :crying:, but the results were great.

Chuck - I wonder if Amsoil would help? Didn't Donnie have lots of problems with his steering and Amsoil solved everything?

i spoke with PSC and they are thinking i might have damaged the blades on the impeller, i might hit LKQ 2maro for another pulley and might they that van pump...well see
