Bumper fabrication - bucketobolts - 02-15-2011

Just thought I'd share a bit of what we have been doing at work lately. We have a fleet of 12 golf carts in maintenance that are starting to look pretty bad. My partner and I were recruited to design a bumper to help protect the front ends, while 2 others have been working on repairing and restoring the body work.

So using what tools and material we had on hand, this is what we came up with. We have been using a hydraulic Greenlee conduit bender/kinker and 1 1/2" black pipe. Not the most ideal, but we have made due. We are just now getting halfway through with the fleet and will see how long we can milk this job.

a golf cart was about the last thing i was expecting to see a bumper fabbed onto!!! you oughtta bend the remaining 6 up all at once. sounds like you probably have it down to a science by now.

Nice work!! Looks good! There's a whole other world in customizing golf carts. My bro-n-law has been working on one lately. The ideas are endless!
