Think SAFETY! - SC74 - 12-31-2007 Just a reminder to everyone... wear those safety glasses! I just got back from the eye doc getting a tiny piece of metal removed from my left eye that I got from grinding on Saturday. My eye is still red and vision is still blurry, but thank goodness the pain is over with! Think SAFETY! - blazinchuck - 12-31-2007 did they use a micro die grinder to smooth out the area the metal damaged? That was real fun the last time that happened to me. Now since I had the lazer job and alot of funds dumped into the eyes...I always wear safety glasses now. Glad you're ok! Think SAFETY! - 69bronco - 12-31-2007 Yep their made for a reason. Glad your ok. Think SAFETY! - broncomania - 12-31-2007 glad your ok. i feel your pain though. ive been there more than once. Think SAFETY! - trkbilder - 01-01-2008 Happened to me once, had to wear a stupid patch for about a week. People kept asking, Did you injure your eye? I said nope, 'm auditioning to be in the next pirate movie. Here's your sign! Glad you're OK. Have a great and rewarding new year! Think SAFETY! - 66bronco - 01-01-2008 glad to hear you are ok. bryan Think SAFETY! - SC74 - 01-01-2008 Oh yea, I got the micro die grinder! He said that he had to get all of the rust out of my eye layers with it. What makes it so bad is that I did have safety glasses on - just not covering my eyes - they were still sitting on top of my head protecting absolutely nothing Think SAFETY! - K45 - 01-09-2008 Stinks that happened hope all is well now. I know how stupid stuff can happen. The other day was working on my jetta and I was leaning over the engine to get a funnel under a part we had to clean on the engine and some carb cleaner went into my eyes. Luckily I did not panic and went to the kitchen sink and used the sprayer for rinsing dishes to get all of it out of my eyes. That was a pain. I am all good now. Take care. |
