Look what followed me home yesterday - broncosbybart - 03-31-2011 Was going to post this up last night, but couldn't get on the site. Has happened to me a few times this week. Anyway, it should be about ideal. I was looking at a 36' gooseneck enclosed, but it sold without my knowing- the seller was kind of flaky. Saw this on my local craigslist. It was a lot more than what I could afford, but made the call anyway just to see what it was and the GVW and some other info. I was shocked when the seller said he would work with me on the price, as he just wanted to sell it. It is an 08' Homesteader Champion. 28' box, alloy wheels, 48" side door, beavertail (so that I won't have to take the wheels on and off the race rig to make it fit thru the rear door), panelled interior and ceiling, and more. It is still bare inside, but I have plans for that down the road. It should be the perfect size for making a toyhauler out of. It was a little problematic getting it in the driveway, but I got it in. Now I just need to find a destroyed RV camper to rip the guts out of... Look what followed me home yesterday - blazinchuck - 03-31-2011 dayum thats huge...looks great tho. i tyhink that will work out better since you wont be swapping tires everytrip. Look what followed me home yesterday - broncosbybart - 03-31-2011 thanks! the crawler will have to still have the tires/wheels swapped unfortuantely. it is too wide. this is the first time i have ever had working brakes on a trailer- BONUS! Look what followed me home yesterday - SC74 - 03-31-2011 H*ll yea! That looks awesome - I am jealous! I've been keeping an eye out for an open gooseneck that I'd like to upgrade my trailer for. Is this one coming to Charlotte? Look what followed me home yesterday - snipes243 - 03-31-2011 sweet bet 2 will fit in it Look what followed me home yesterday - broncosbybart - 03-31-2011 ha ha. yeah, 2 can fit in it right now, but it would be WAY overloaded. plus, i really just want to put some kind of living area in the front of it, down the road. the trailer will be at carpenter's on sat. i was hoping to bring the ECORS rig along, but probably won't have enough time to bring it. i will be bringing the crawler (carl's old rig), as it is running and moving. the ECORS rig, not so much... it does steer though might even have brakes, but gotta bleed them first. Look what followed me home yesterday - broncosbybart - 06-10-2011 Ok, so it was a little on the large side. Ended up selling it. I now have a nicely equipped 24' trailer. Still isn't quite what I want, but it should do for now. I am keeping my eyes out for the 'ideal' trailer.... Here are some pics of the new model. It is 24', has a generator, flourescent lights, swing out rear lights, tool box, 3k winch, upper cabinets, pit pal, fuel jug holder, and is pretty well finished inside. exterior is nothing fancy, but is in good overall shape. it was starting to get dark when i snapped the pics... Look what followed me home yesterday - SC74 - 06-11-2011 Very nice! Looks like somebody took good care of that trailer. I know of a gooseneck model ... probably 32-34' for sale now. A buddy of mine that was racing dirt track is selling it. It's sectioned off for a storage/garage area and a bunk bed area. Look what followed me home yesterday - broncosbybart - 06-11-2011 that sounds very interesting. do you know how much??? i am looking at another one today with an awning and A/C. it is a 28' tag along trailer though. i would think a 32' gooseneck would be nice. pretty much a trailer pimp right now. if this one i had now was a 10k GVW trailer, i'd be set. |
