Kholding on Classic is building a EB in Cali. He had a HP44 installed and put up the numbers on his threads. You might get some good info there. hp 44 - firefighter2134 - 06-27-2011 i think he done a full width swap. im narrowing mine to eb length. gotta take 6" from long tube but after i drill weld out and separate tube from housing got to make sure to get it aligned back up properly so the wedges will be true to each other. hp 44 - broncosbybart - 06-27-2011 that one is well beyond my ability. M & M off road might be able to do it. not sure what kind of tools/jig would be needed to do it right. the wedges aren't much of a problem. they can be off some and not really matter. it is your outer c's that need to be kept at the same angle to keep your caster in check. hp 44 - firefighter2134 - 06-27-2011 once the weld is drilled out of the housing the tube will slide out. shorten that then press it back together and weld it just have to make sure it stays true to the short side. sounds simple enough... hp 44 - broncosbybart - 06-28-2011 exactly. if everything went as easy as it sounded.... |
