Just getting started 74 Bronco - N747JB - 10-27-2011 I bought this a few months ago, started out wanting an old convertible to drive, decided I wanted another old Bronco, like I had when I was 15.upergrin: Anyway, I was planning on adding a roll bar and just driving it as is, maybe painting it later. But it's turning into a full blown project. :popc1: So far the frame is done, the transmission is rebuilt, the floorpans are fixed and the top is ready for paint. Just getting started 74 Bronco - Crawdad - 10-27-2011 Looking good so far! Did you sandblast or wire wheel the frame? Just getting started 74 Bronco - N747JB - 10-27-2011 Crawdad Wrote:Looking good so far! Did you sandblast or wire wheel the frame? Both! I'm cheating, it's in my body shop! If I was doing it all myself, it would never get taken apart, much less put back together!cratchhe: Just getting started 74 Bronco - blazinchuck - 10-27-2011 heck yeah! looking good, i like how you work lol any other special plans? lift, interior, motor? Just getting started 74 Bronco - chuzie - 10-27-2011 Full blown project? I don't think there is any other kind no matter the initial intention. Looking good though. Wish I had a body shop to do my project in. You are very fortunate to have facilities. Can't wait to see the finished product. Motor is pretty stock 302 that was running good when we pulled it last month, probably just clean it up and a some chrome. The interior is my next challenge, I've got stock front and back seats, they're blue vinyl I would like to do a matching green interior, but I've got a base interior and the only green I've seen that I like is the Ranger (?) cloth houndstooth. I'm going to look at after market seats before I make a decision on the interior. I do need a headliner for the hardtop, we patched some on the top and it needs to be covered.upergrin: Hopefully we'll have more progress next week!:xyxthumbs: |
