hey guys,
wonderin if anyone has any insight on the badlands winches. Im not too familiar with the brand but the seem to be the best "bang for your buck". Harbor Freight has a 12,000 lb badlands off road winch for 399.99 seems way cheap to me. Any help?

the pessimist in me says if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

ive got one of the cheap chinese winchs on my trailer... It seems to be strong, but it very slow.... I wouldnt want to need to run it all day....

That being said, a friends MileMarker winch isnt any faster, and my Smittybuilt isnt just blazing fast either...

I had a milemarker. I think I could use a come-a-long faster than that thing went. I had a smittybuilt that was a bit faster and it only retailed for $300 (XRC-8). The smittybuilt worked fine but didn't like being stored outside. My only thought is that a 12k winch is a lot more than what is probably needed for just about any situation.
