It's a rare experience to find a bronco that doesn't require a ton of work to get it where it needs to be. Chucks build is one of the sweet finds. Having now 7 broncos I'm thrilled not needing to rebuild major components, doing paint and body work(cutting out rust) wiring and other Bronco chores

I"m going to take some pics soon after I find the camera.

So far I've changed the wheels. Spacers are something that worries me. Some folks are ok with them but if I didn't have bad luck I wouldn't have luck at all. I like the stance of the bronco so I got a set of 2.5 in backspaced wheels. Comes out to where things were.

Next project is getting the heating system working right. Every once in a while theres a leak at the heater core. Not sure what the root cause is but I'm going to install a new heater core and move some hoses around.

Next project will be getting a parking brake system installed and functional. I want to get some kind of hand pull system in, looked into the lokar stuff, kinda pricey and reading on classic broncos there seems to be some less than desired results. I have access to a junk yard with hundreds of various 4x4 so I may poke around.

Visit back for some pics in the next couple of days.

Check out the rear disk kit I did a write up on, may be what you need. It uses a caddy caliper.

Im not a huge fan of oem style parking brakes. I really feel they are designed as an emergency brake and, with our large tires, most units are easily overcome on an incline.

If you want a parking brake, my suggestion is a lever-lok by mico.

If you want an emergency brake, go with an oem package. Hell, I would have both!

I wonder who gave you the idea for the lever loc?

A bronco buddy who lives in RTP had some speed shop in the area install the lokar kit in her bronco. Works real well with her 32in tires. Read on classic broncos about the lokar and seemed like mixed reviews. But then again something made in heavans furnace made by Jesus Christ would likely get mixed reviews on that site.

I wheel with plenty of jeep folks and their parking brakes work fine with 35-37. A pull handle really is needed in this instance because of the cage and it being a 5 speed. I read up on your suggestion chuzie. Definately need to read up on it more in depth but it does show lots of promise

What are your plans for old wheels?

Haven't made up my mind yet. I have 3 broncos without a clear build plan so the wheels may end up on one of those
