Stainless/ Coated Headers needed- 1995 Bronco 351 Windsor .20 over trick flow heads - jrshepherd - 05-08-2018

Good Day. Im in need of help. Ive been looking for a nice pair of stainless/ coated shorty headers for my bronco. Im currently running Hedman non coated steel long tub headers. They make everything very tight and hot. I have received two sets of shorty headers. One from JBA and one from Flowtec. Both have there issues, but my main issue is how the exhaust flange is raised on the head side. is this normal? Ive never seen this before. Summitt Racing Tech Support said it was to give a better mounting service. I don't know how because they are not machined evenly decked on the exhaust flange/ head side or around the exhaust ports. Thanks for any help. Any good custom stainless exhaust shops in the charlotte area? Thanks

Hey,

A lot of headers are constructed like what you mention. Makes using copper gaskets impossible.

Wild Horses makes a nice set of headers but they're $$.

No recommendations for a SS exhaust shop. I pieced my own together using a kit with a variety of mandrel bends.
